Classic Mat Pilates is made up of exercises create to increase core strength and balance while building long, lean muscle. Using the power of gravity and your own body, the proscribed movements work your entire body, including some muscles rarely targeted in other fitness styles. Stability balls and resistance bands add to the fun and the reward, and may be used in some classes.
