Gentle Aerial Yoga:
Let strong yet soft aerial silks support your practice as you find strength, increased mobility, and unique mental awareness. This class requires no previous experience, and is taught at a slow pace, allowing time to learn, stretch, strengthen, and grow! Reservations Suggested. Call 304-224-1938 and let us hold your space.
Aerial Guidelines:
Wear tight-fitting clothing (leggings, leotards, fitted tees, etc.) Loose clothing can present a safety hazard.
Avoid zippers, buttons and dangling straps.
Please tie hair up with soft hair ties.
Please do not wear perfume or make-up if possible.
Absolutely NO jewelry, including fitness trackers.
Avoid heavy meals before class.
Avoid oils and lotions, especially on hands and feet.
Anyone with the following conditions should seek medical advice before pursuing aerial yoga: Pregnancy, glaucoma, recent surgery, heart disease, very high or low blood pressure, motion sickness, osteoporosis, recent head injury, cerebral sclerosis, carpal tunnel syndrome, severe arthritis, hiatal hernia, disc herniation or acute discogenic disease, recent stroke, artificial hips, radiculitis, or botox injections within 6 hours of class time.
Back Care Yoga:
Specially-designed class created for people with back pain! From everyday soreness to more major issues like scoliosis and surgery recovery, this gently progressing class can help relieve pain and improve mobility. Each pose is supported with props, and modified for individual bodies. No yoga experience necessary! (If you are followed by a doctor for your back problems, please check with them for any contraindicated movements or actions. Katie works with your needs, and can support you in what you are cleared to do.)
