Energizing Yoga with Katie
Expect to get lost in the beat, to experience yoga like never before, and to have a stimulating and clearing practice! We begin slowly, gently inviting warmth and movement into the body. As the playlist heats up, we move into flows using elements of Hatha, Mandala, and Dancing Yoga. If you don’t know what that means, that’s OK! An example might be that we spend a couple of minutes moving from Goddess pose to Starfish pose, effectively moving from a squat to a pose with arms and legs straight and stretching. We would then move to another series of poses and repeat them – a “flow.” That club and pop music you’ll hear is chosen specifically to bring rhythmic energy, allowing some students a more energetic practice. Of course, it’s still yoga, so we’ll wind down with some twists and more gentle stretches before finding savasana, that peaceful rest at the end which allows the body to recover and heal.
