Ready for a highly-effective cardio workout? The International Journal of Sports Science conducted a study in 2016 that proved trampoline fitness is twice as effective at improving aerobic fitness and burns 50% more fat than running. It’s also low/no impact on your joints, uses and tones over 600 muscles with every jump, is amazing for your lymphatic system (to remove toxins) and is actually fun!
Not sure if you can do it? We understand! It’s a new activity for everyone at one time or another and there are always 1-3 new students in every trampoline fitness class so we know how to make the workout approachable for all levels. Our instructors will explain good jumping form and keep an eye on all students in class, correcting form when needed. We keep our jumps low and focus on pushing down into the trampoline surface because that triggers the most work for your muscles. Big jumps are not fitness and not included in our workout. And while we push our students to jump at a quick pace that’s challenging to keep up with, it’s absolutely acceptable to jump slower and opt for modified jumps if any choreography feels too complicated. So give it a try!
Do you have any injuries? If you have an active knee, ankle or back injury (i.e. you feel some ongoing discomfort or pain), you should rest and recover before exercising in a group class setting. Pregnant women can enjoy trampoline fitness with their doctor’s approval and if they have been doing some cardio exercise recently.
